Jharkhand, one of the newest states in the eastern part
of India. It is known as the state of waterfalls, and the elephants and
tigers of Betla National Park. The state capital is Ranchi dedicated to the gateway to the park. It features
the 17th-century Jagannath Temple. Jharkhand located in the northeastern part
of the country, Jharkhand state surrounded by
the states of Bihar to the north side, West Bengal to the east side, Odisha to
the south side, Chhattisgarh to the west side, and Uttar Pradesh to the
northwest side.

History of Jharkhand:
Long time ego this region
was ruled by many empires and dynasties including Maurya, Gupta, gouda, pala,
nagvanshi,ramgarh raj, raksel and cheru.
During the period of Mahajanpadas around 500 BC, Jharkhand state was a part of Magadha and Anga
It was carved out of the
relatively underdeveloped south part of Bihar.

Total 28,833 square miles 74,677 square km and Forest Area has a rich variety of flora and fauna. Similarily, Recorded Forest Area (RFA) in the State is 23,605 sq km which is 4,387 sq km is Reserved Forests and 19,185 sq km is Protected Forest and 33 sq km is unusual Forests.
